Too, Fly repositions the Icarus myth as a framework for Black transcendence. Through an Afrosurreal lens, the film constructs a cosmology in which falling is not collapse, but transition. Movement between states of being becomes a form of knowledge, where risk, aspiration, and transformation converge. In this reimagining, flight is not escape—it is expansion.
