God Snapped When She Made Water… and Black Women
Arthur Roger Gallery, New Orleans
2026
God Snapped When She Made Water… and Black Women is a meditation on divine feminine power, materiality, and creation.
Drawing from African spiritual systems and Black cultural aesthetics, the work honors Black women as sites of origin and essential as architects of existence.
Through painting, drawing, and sculptural forms, the exhibition reimagines beauty, adornment, and presence as sacred gestures, positioning Black womanhood not as subject, but as generative force.
